Message I know it's been A LONG time since my last update. I have had a lot going on lately but from this point forward I am going for broke (literally) in an effort to get this thing finished before April.

For a little background info: When I bought my Z back in April of '03 it was in need of a rebuild with compression numbers of 107, 110, 109, 110, 90, 112. For those who don't know stock is 178 and a rebuild is recommended at 122psi. I imagine they are all arounf 80-90 by this point. The car is still running on all 6 cylinders but barely idles and relies on the turbos to make any forward motion whatsoever. I dynoed it at work for some "before" numbers and at 12psi it put down 265 RWHP and 280 RWTQ on a Mustang Dynamometer. I'm pretty impressed that it's making more than a bone stock Z can put out on a Dynojet, not bad at all!

So the new longblock from IPP (thanks Kyle!) is mostly stock with the exception of JE forged pistons in a 9:1 CR. I am debating on whether or not to get cams now or wait. The turbos are GT28RS's (Disco Potatoe, 700BB, Z1 675RS, etc...) with a .64 A/R. I'm hoping for 500 RWHP on 91 and over 600 on VP110, we'll see what happens.

The turbos will be mounted on custom manifolds that will relocate them to the top of the engine for ease of maintainence. I will be fabricating super-duper-split downpipes to go with the high turbo placement. The manifold is a custom piece that has been almost two years (off and on) in the making.

The previous posts on my project can be seen here.

Making some steady progress on the manifolds (intake and exhaust). Still a long way to go...

Throttle bodies welded up to their flanges.

Lower section of plenum.

3" aluminum tubing slit and angle cut to form the plenum.

Taped in place for now. The lower section will be cut 1" shorter to allow the plenums to be level.

Tentative placement for turbos.
